Fastener for thin sheets

Our fasteners for thin sheet metal consist of screws or nuts designed to be used with thin sheet metal. They are permanently mounted in the sheet so that the associated movable screw or nut can be removed without the installed fastener coming loose.

This feature has enabled the industry to streamline production methods and manufacture complex shapes, such as closed box sections.

Anchor® – rivet bush

ARB is a captive threaded bush designed to suit a wide range of sheet thicknesses. Its serrated shank when riveted, achieves high torque and push out resistance. A standoff version, ARBSO, allows the body length to be specified, thus providing a captive threaded spacer.

Self-Clinching – Stud

P-FH is a threaded fastener which incorporates a knurled platform under the head, which when embedded in the sheet, displaces material into the clinch ring securing the fastener firmly in place.

Anchor® Mini – rivet bush

MINARB is a miniature ARB designed for applications where space or distance to the sheet edge is at a premium. Weight saving is reason the MINARB may be selected. A standoff version, MINOFF, allows the body length to be specified, thus providing a captive threaded pacer.

Self-Clinching – Stud

P-HFH have been designed to achieve higher levels of performance than the P-FH range of fasteners for applications that do not demand a flush finish condition.

Self -locking – Anchor® Mini

MINLOK is a miniaturized captive threaded fastener for sheet metal with an inbuilt all-metal self-locking feature. It combines the simplicity and reliability of a standard MINARB, with thread locking offering a minimum of five re-uses.

Self-Clinching – Nut

P-F have been designed to provide a thread within the sheet thickness giving a flush finish to both sides. A simple squeezing action embeds the hexagonal head into the sheet and the displaced metal flows evenly around the undercut shank securely locking it into place.

P-S and P-CLS are threaded fasteners which incorporate a knurled platform and a groove. This platform, when embedded in the sheet, causes the displaced material to flow evenly into the groove of the fastener to give a positive retention.

Self-Clinching – Stand-Off

P-SO and P-BOS are designed to serve as spacers or distance pieces. A simple squeezing action embeds the hexagonal head into the sheet causing the displaced metal to flow into the clinching groove.

Self-Clinching – Nut

P-SP is a threaded fastener made in stainless steel, 400 series. For use in harder metal sheet with hardness Rb90 or Hv200, for example stainless steel. Otherwise it has the same quality as P-S. How ever the hole pattern can be different.
